I had to grab my phone and come IMMEDIATELY here to write, otherwise I’d fall back to my knitting…

I am completely a-d-d-i-c-t-e-d to my brand-new knitting needles. Very very glamorous needles I’d say as they come straight from JAPAN and are the finest finest tools made of Japanese bamboo! Talk about Arashiyama!! Very sophisticated, so airy, they weigh close to nothing, everything from the handle to the metallic joints is so fine! They are LUSH!

I ordered a full set of 11 interchangeable needles to knit in the round from my hotel bed in Kyoto, after a lot of research and after a lot of flirting with other brands and models… Once we were back to Tokyo, my set was already waiting for me at the hotel reception!

They deserve a more elaborate story and description… I am so in love!!

Today is the first day I am actually KNITTING with them! Ihuu it was so exciting to use them for the first time and I can’t put them down…

I’m working on that “I’d love to knit all winter” project, knitting daily for 40 minutes in front of the camera… but today I must’ve spent all day with them in hand!

It’s a holiday in São Paulo today but we were working at the atelier. Around 3pm I left for a few hours to say hi to a couple of friends who are launching their business — today was the soft opening and it was so cool to see it materialise out in the street! I am so happy for them! Very inspiring, I am very inspired by my loved ones, as usual.

Anyway, I have to run home before I grab that neckline again… oh the smell of pure pure natural cotton sliding on those pointy pieces of wood and going round and round on that cable…
