So today is the first time I’m writing at night, not that I have been writing for that long here!! But already feels like sort of a habit, and it feels good!!
Also, writing feels different here, directly on the blog’s platform, other than on Notes on my phone. Maybe it’s this caps / not caps that I haven’t checked yet how it works on either app.
Anyway! First off, what I wanted to write is… new season is here!!!
Welcoming winter here in the southern hemisphere!!
So yesterday was the shortest day of the year, and got me thinking of all the things I wanted to do with and for my life and OF COURSEE one of them includes lots and lots of writing!! So… here we are!
PUBLISHED!
I just published my first newsletter, an introduction to it more of, welcoming all subscribers. Haven’t found out yet how to automate it so I already also did like a checklist to update and send daily welcomes for the time being ! Meaning I will actually be closer to each and every one of you who first subscribe as I will be hitting “send” myself for now!
Also, first day of posting daily on my brand account’s stories, first post on feed inviting to subscribe to the newsletter… publishing the new collection soon soon !!
On Mondays I usually have a meeting with Beatriz who I call my editor !! And she usually reads and edits and comments what I write before I publish. I have a few texts written that will be out on the following newsletters, and I thought I had nothing to say, well, not nothing to say bc I have a lot to say but not a lot I wanted to write and fix on words now but it turned out great!!
I am just trying to follow, every time I write, what I read in “A Moveable Feast” — just start with one sentence that is true. Or I just write what comes to mind and it all just flows, floats, and when we read it all together — today as it can happen often we read it for the first time together, I just pour on paper then I listen to her read out loud.
And as it also happens when Letícia works on my ideas in crochet, it just is so much more beautiful and satisfying to see my idea, be it my words, my knitting gestures, performed outside of myself, without my second guessings or incremental or unfolding ideas. Feels GOOD GOOD GOOD!
Pause and — I had my favourite dish for lunch! If you know me, you know…
And spent all day doing these tweaks to my writing, publishing, etc.
So happy to be putting out ideas in the world, almost let’s be fair, completely unedited, like a diary stream of consciousness notes on my phone and yet reminding me that my favourite writers DELIGHT me when I get to read
City, date and year
and text.
Now let’s enjoy some night time at home as it’s 9pm I’m still awake and my jet lag is really wearing off.

Oh. Wanted to say as well. Whenever I think “new season” “winter begins” I think “I wish” “I could knit sweaters a sweater collection done all winter!” And I tell myself but if I knit during winter… when will we wear them?
